  i just took nathan natas chart for numbers of memorial partakers since 1935.. i worked out that on average 823 new partakers have been added every year since 1936, whilst on average 716 have been dying each year.. what is especially interesting, is that when the total of new partaker numbers almost exactly matches that given in w96 15/8 p31 for 1935, is in the year 1995 - they year they began to deliberately create the fog around the "generation" teaching.

  (i used actual figures, not averages here).

  i am now convinced that they have been paving the way for the feb 15 noolite since then.. i disregarded the figure for 1935 itself, since the witchtower gives two figures for partakers -.

  Is an Organization required?

  so i had a shepherding call recently, and i laid out my concerns to the elders.

  i said how can put full faith and trust into jehovah's organization, one which is directed by holy spirit, even though its past is littered with issues and errors (new light)?

  i mentioned the redefining of generation, 1975 issue, and the un involvement.

  As a current elder (about to be former), the most that I say you can do is to live meaningfully and successfully once you exit. That will be the greatest signifier to them that "hey, you don't crumble and die once you're on the outside," and that there is a life to be lived and you have the power to make it productive.

  BETHELITES - Whatever Became of?

  i often times wonder what happened to certain bethelites that i ran around with during my 1990s tenure there.

  while there are still a few left there, the greater majority of them aren't there for various reasons (marriage, disillusionment, left the borg, etc).

  a couple of cats i wonder about - there was one brother who i believe was from kansas, who got his fingers cut off in a printing press.

Major props goes to Simon for setting up and maintaining this forum. I'm sure he has been told this numerous times, but the impact of this site is so far-reaching and transcendent. It's made me appreciate how something so complex, can be so simple, yet powerful in its ability to distill information and link like-minded people together and give them a VOICE. This 'net thang' is so damn wonderful. I'll cut it here at the risk of ramblin', but thanks again, ALL OF YOU..........
